Motivation is delighted to announce the that the Big Lottery Fund is supporting a new Motivation project entitled ‘Promoting Disabled People's Human Rights in Tanzania '.
The project, which began on April 1 st 2008, is working to address the exclusion and discrimination encountered by people with mobility disabilities (and particularly those with a spinal cord injury) in Tanzania .
Motivation will be working with two long established partners, the Tanzania Training Centre for Orthopaedic Technologists (TATCOT) and the Kilimanjaro Association of the Spinally Injured (KASI). We will also be working with our network of Wheelchair Services in Tanzania to strengthen their capacity.
We hope that as many as 2,740 disabled people will benefit from this project over the next two and a half years. Please watch this space for news on the project's progress, or for more information contact the Motivation office.
