The problem

It’s estimated that 105 million people across the world need an appropriate wheelchair – a wheelchair that is safe, functional and provides the right level of support.

In developing countries, people with mobility disabilities are commonly the most vulnerable and excluded members of society. Without an appropriate wheelchair, they can’t leave their homes, go to school or get a job. And they are at risk of potentially fatal secondary health complications like pressure sores.

Our solution

We support disabled people to access the right wheelchair for them through a high quality wheelchair service.

We produce high-quality, low-cost wheelchairs, tricycles and supportive seating products that have been designed specifically for use in developing countries. We distribute these to the people that need them through our local partner organisations. Read more about our mobility products.

So that we can reach as many disabled people as possible, we train staff from local organisations in how to set up wheelchair services. Read more about our training.
